Let's Dance for Sport Relief Live Blog

First 8 mins were missed!

8 mins - Lets see Kate and Richard from GMTV. Terminator parody occurs. Will they be back??? The audience will decide that later in the show. Their performance of a Hand Jive begins. Smiles on their faces but blank stares from the judges. They can certainly create enthusiasm for the crowd with everyone standing and clapping along. An upbeat song and a performance with effort and fun but do they real have any dancing talent?? Personally I dont see it. Three comedians as the judges is a nice touch and John Culshaw doesnt miss a chance to perform some impressions!

13 mins - Katy Brand is up next. Who actually is this girl?? Her act of Beyonce in the crowd and her story is comical but also slightly cringey. Single Lady, I am not surprised 1 bit!! Faier play to her though, she does incorporate a lot of the dance moves from the famous video into her performance. Over to the judges and as usual they all say she was brilliant. Claudia and Steve attempt a little joke for relating the phone number to the song but it falls right down.

19 mins - Grumpy Old Women - expect a real sexy performance here! Poledancing attempts and tatoos and according to them they are 'hot'. I must have missed that point and as the recap concludes they return to their real selves and their grumpiness. Their performance is disturbing to say the least! The audience are not as engaged as the previous 2 although it is such a well known song, Pokerface by Lady Gaga. Culshaw is not missing any opportunity for an impression on this show, its Gordon Brownn this time. The first time we will ever get Brown and Gaga that close together in a conversation!

25 mins - Debra Stephenson, she is shown with her shrink with various characters 'taking over' her body, Paris Hilton follows Lorraine kelly until Amy Winehouse comes out. However, she is the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. Maybe going for the crossdressing element that worked so well for Robert Webb last year. A few MJ moves are on show and there is certainly energy in the performance. Simon Cowell impression from Culshaw this time and then a Danni Minogue impression from Debra!!

31 mins - Cheryl Ferguson, shown in a boxing arena and an 8 mile parody begins in the toilets. In the boxing ring a thumb war takes place which she wins and celebrates with her female fans! But whats this....she has pulled a muscle and cant compete. She must have worked too hard in the ring for that thumb war. So a re-run of her previous performance is shown. Ice Ice Baby by Vanilla Ice, yes the embarrassing song with a hip hop label on it. She comes out for a talk with the judges and finally someone encourages people to vote and raise money for Sport Relief. That only took 35 minutes. Steve "maybe she should put some ice ice baby on that leg!!"

38 mins - Rufus Hound, once again a man dressed as a girl and dancing. This time its Cheryl Cole and fight for this love, he will need to fight for those votes though. And the Simon Cowell impression come out again. "World Class" comment from Jack Dee.

43 mins - 6 finalists have all danced for those votes. Another reminder of how long we have to vote and Steve gets the chance to explain the terms and conditions. What an honour.

44 mins - reminder of the performances and the all important numbers. Will it be Richard and Kate? Katy Brand? Grumpy Old Women? Debra Stephenson? Cheryl Fergison? Or Rufus Hound?

46 mins - there is loads more for sport relief, not just the dance contest. And there is certainly loads coming up for it, Friday 19th March BBC1.

48 mins - N-Dubz performance of Playing with Fire. No dancing here until Unity come out and dance in the background. This group are certainly getting in the public eye at every chance whilst they are popular!

52 mins - Steve is in the makeup room with all of the contestants and Linda is on the phone voting for herself! And Happy Birthday Linda.

55 mins - 3 more minutes to vote.

56 mins - first video we see of the real cause of the events. Lewis Hamilton and Jake Humphrey visit Brazil and a music and martial arts related organisation for the kids on the streets.

57 mins - perosnal messages from the celeb friends of the acts encouraging the votes.

58 mins - voting lines are CLOSED. So dont phone as you may be charged but it wont count.

59 mins - cast of Billy Elliot entertain the audience with a little routine. The girls get told to clear off and the boys take it on and show some impressive tap skills whilst wearing tutus!!

1hr 3 mins - large recap of all the acts from the previous 3 weeks.

1hr 5 mins - that moment is here, the acts are reintroduced but I'm sure we wont find out the winner for about another 10 minutes, just to build up some tension!

1hr 6 mins - judges thoughts on who they think will win. Seems Katy and Rufus are most fancied.

1hr 7 mins - 1st act out is...........................Debra.

1hr 8 mins - 2nd act out is..................................Grumpy Olw Women. 3rd act out, Cheryl Fergison - dont get in her way, she seems an angry woman!

1hr 9 mins - Kate and Richard are the next to go and its not a surprise than Katy Brand and Rufus Hound are the final 2. Popular songs and good routines. Audience decided the winner.

1hr 10 mins - RUFUS HOUND. He is the winner. For the 2nd year in a row a man who dresses as a woman wins Let's Dance for Sport Relief. Robert Webb presents him with the trophy.

1hr 11 mins - Claudia and Steve thank all the acts that took part as well as the audience. Reminder that Sport Relief is on Friday 19th March at 7pm.

1hr 12 mins - Rufus performs once again, he must seriously hate that song by now. Credits roll and that is the end of entertaining dancing, until you go out with your mates next week!!

How I Met Your Mother liveblog

Once again we are back here in NYC wondering whether this is the week we finally meet the mother of Ted's 2 kids! Season 2 episode 8, Lets go

Scene starts - Marshall and Lily are back together!! Finally.... but its 6 months on, what have they actually been doing. She has seen the light. And Lily is unromantic in asking about marriage, i thought all girls wanted the perfect moment and all the love in the air etc. Marshall clearly wants the kind of moment to.

Opening credits followed by shot showing they had sex on the kitchen floor

2.50 mins - recap of their situation and what happened 6 months ago when Lily walked out on Marshall

3.20 mins - idea of eloping comes up, surely not?? Oh yeh its gunna happen, but not Las Vegas, remember this is east coast so Atlantic City is the plan, the east coast mini Las Vegas with the casino and wedding chapel.

4.45 mins - Barney, suited up as standard, is having a pedicure and everyone else joins him.

6 mins - Yes Lily you are getting married, can you please stop asking that question over and over and over (you get the jist)

6.30 mins - Boys go off to gamble, that is what Atlantic City is all about after Barney finds a veil. No bride can get married without one and she finds a bouqet as well. Barney realises he needs to throw a bachelor party for Marshall as he is the self-decided best man, leading to Marshall and Ted reminding him that Ted is in fact the best man.

8 mins - Atlantic City sure isnt Las Vegas - they have to wait 3 whole days to get married, talk about an elope fail!! 3 days they need to wait or do they??

10 mins - The group arrive at the court house hoping they can get a special consideration for getting married today. And it seems Barney knows every Chinese man in Atlantic City!!

12 mins - Ted has some cheeky ideas!! He really likes the t-shirt Robin has had to put on, its a 'boob shirt' Naked body with bikini.

13.45 mins - Barney spills the beans on Lily running off to the home of the 49ers and the 'special fun' Ted and Robin just had in the closet to the judge. The judge was right there and ready to grant them a special consideration but that opportunity has gone, but surely that is for the best.

15 mins - Lily is so deteremined to get married today, she doesnt want the looks of disconcern and regret from the family about the mistakes she made.

17 mins - Barney offers to win the money for Lily andMarshall to pay a shipcaptain to take them to international waters so they can get married. He plays the most confusing and random game ever with his Chinese friends. The game ends with him picking the correct hand with a jelly bean in!! Barney does have a little problem with gambling, what a surprise.

19.30 mins - Marshall and Lily finally realise this is a silly idea and they deserve a big wedding with all their friends and family, the traditional way they had planned originally. Robin does give the indication to Ted that she does want to get married at some point in her life. Perhaps she could be the one after all even though she was introduced in the first episode as Aunt Robin, so it does seem unlikely.

And so, this episode has shown us through comedy that eloping rarely goes right and is what the bride and groom really want. Afterall isnt it every girls dream to have the big wedding with their friends, family and cake?? However, the story of how Ted give meet the kids' mother goes on. But do we really want to find out? Because that signals the end and who wants a show they enjoy to end?? Just ask the fans of The Sopranos!!

QPR vs Plymouth preview

After an excellent win against West Brom on Saturday in Neil Warnock's first game in charge I fully expect him to follow that up with another win tonight at Loftus Road vs Plymouth. They are 2nd from bottom and we just beat the team that was 2nd from the top and had the best away record in the league. After going 22 games without keeping a clean sheet I think tonight is the game we finally break that awful run but even if we don't then I still expect us to be too good for a struggling side with little quality.

I would be surprised to see Warnock make any changes to the starting line up from Saturday but think Lee Cook will return to the squad as long as he is fit enough after having a cold over the weekend. The return of Cookie was excellent during our shocking spell in January and February, he has so much love for this club and gives 100% every time he puts on the shirt. If only the other 10 players had shown this all season there is no doubt we would have been in the playoff places and the managerial roundabout wouldn't have been spinning out of control. The fans, who pay good money, just want to be entertained and feel that the players want to be out on the pitch. Any fan would give their right arm to be where these professionals are and Warnock is passion personified. This leads to us fans feeling passion and determination is back at our club from top to bottom with Amit Bhatia showing his desire every time he is interviewed.

Akos Buzsaky will be facing his former club tonight and it wouldn't surprise me at all to see him put another one in at the Loft End but perhaps with a little more intent than his 40 yard goal at the weekend! That goal was a great bit of luck that we haven't seen all season and just shows that with an excellent delivery into the danger area anything can happen. Speaking of anything can happen, Adel 'tricks' Taraabt. Opinion over him is so vast. I find myself loving him one week but pulling my hair out over him the next. There is no doubt he is a very talented young player with more tricks than the mug who wears number 9 for real madrid but he isn't a team player. My main feeling is that he is best used as a substitute for the last 20-25mins of a game when the opposition defenders are tiring out. He is exceptional with the ball at his feet but needs to learn when to pass the ball or Warnock will have no problem with screaming at him from the touchline. This will either go 1 of 2 ways; Adel sulks about it, as seen earlier in the season, or he knuckles down and respects Warnock and does the things he is asked to do. Tracking back is another one of his weaknesses, although from the highlights on Saturday I did witness him back in our back 3rd picking off a loose ball and giving it easy. So perhaps he is turning the corner. A permanent deal in the summer??? It seems unlikely to me, he is more suited to playing in Spain and I expect a team such as Real Zaragoza to come in for him for about £2.5million. He isn't going to move to a top team over there and his future at Spurs seems to be waning.

I hope we get the best out of him from now on til the end of the season but first and foremost we need enough points to stay up. I am going to be very positive and predict we have a great first month under Warnock with him getting the manager of the month prize for March. This is the month where QPR fans will look back on and say 'that is when I began to believe again'.

Stable times ahead at Loftus Road

Neil Warnock finally moved across London last night after the compensation fee was agreed between his former employers and his club QPR. This will be the end of the manager merry-go-round at White City having had 11 other short stay managers and caretakers in the time since Flavio Briatore waltzed in and adopted the club as a hobby. The fans grew to hate the man whose constant false promises and dressing room interference caused problems for manager after manager. If they had their own opinion they were quickly shown the door and this is why a strong personality like Warnock would never have worked under the egomaniac.

However, now that Amit Bhatia and the Mittal family have increased their stake and Ishan Saksena is the new chairman of the board fans have a brighter view of the future. As long as Warnock can keep us up this season then I have faith the next 2 years will see us build a quality team with things down right off the pitch and the manager left alone to manage and highlight players he wants to bring to the club. There is no doubt that Warnock likes hardworking players and he is a motivator that gets the best out of his players. He has no hesitation in using young players which can only be a good thing for our youngsters such as Antonio German who has shown no fear since his full first team debut against Doncaster where he got his first goal.

Personally I feel Warnock will get the best out of Akos Buzsaky, our Hungarian star in the number 10 shirt. His form was poor under Magilton and Hart but the Watford dressing room incident must have had significant negative effects on him that fans seem to have dismissed. He has played better under Harford, making things happen and looks to be on his way up. We will never see him make a crunching tackle in a 50 50 situation because he isnt this kind of player when he will still work hard, demand the ball and want to create with it. Peter Ramage comes in for a lot of stick from the Rs faithful, I personally really like him. His workrate, passion and effort is 2nd to none and is one of few who applauds the fans after every game. His crossing is poor but as a defender I feel he is solid and Warnock will appreciate the positives he brings to the team.
With talk of Speroni, Clyne, Danns and Ambrose being brought in surely we will only need a quality left back and a couple of goalscoring strikers in the summer. I feel we should try our utmost to bring in Jay Simpson on a permanent deal, surely Wenger doesn't think he can play at the very top level with Arsenal. Tom Cleverley and Henri Lansbury would be excellent midfield signings having both had great seasons on loan at Watford and their parent clubs would seem willing to let them go.
We have the big pieces of the jigsaw in place; a board that cares, has funds at the ready for the right players and will give the manager time and space, a quality manager who has a lot of experience at this level and will gain the respect of the players as soon as he enters the room. We have players of quality. Connolly, Gorkss, Cook, Simpson, Buzsaky would be loved by most teams in this division. Next season is going to be big.
